A couple of months ago, we were lucky enough to be joined by Keisha Howard, founder of Sugargamers. During her appearance, we learned that she's an avid anime and manga fan. But now she wants to make the crossover to U.S. comics, and I'm looking for some help here.

See, Keisha is looking for recommendations on books to start getting into. To gauge her tastes, I asked her to name some manga she's digging. Descriptions are after the jump:

Hitflix is reporting today that Ryan Phillippe has come seemingly out of nowhere to be a new contender for the role of Captain America. Last week, as you'll recall, it was Office star John Krasinski who was reportedly in the lead for the role.

This past weekend at Emerald City Comic-Con, Marvel announced the cancellation of the Spider-Woman ongoing title as of issue #7. On his website, series writer Brian Michael Bendis said the cancellation was done so as to give artist Alex Maleev some relief.

Green Lantern Movie: Two New Stars Announced

Temuera MorrisonThe Hollywood Reporter announced exclusive information about tTaika Waititiwo new stars (who both happen to be from New Zealand) that will appear in the new Green Lantern movie.

One is Temuera Morrison who is best known as Jango Fett from the Star Wars movies. He will be playing Abin Sur. The other is Taika Waititi who is cast to play 'Hal's best friend.' Waititi is a actor and flimmaker and recently had his film 'Boy' recently played at the Sundance Film Festival.

Director Martin Campbell is set to start prodcution on Green Lantern next week which stars Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan.

Summer Glau is a 'Cape' Crusader

Good news today for Whedonistas: according to The Hollywood Reporter, Dollhouse & Firefly alum Summer Glau has signed on for NBC's upcoming superhero drama The Cape.

The show will star David Lyons as Simon West, a disgraced ex-cop who adopts a secret identity - the eponymous Cape - in order to clear his name.

The story says that Glau will play Orwell, "a cute and intrepid investigative blogger who fearlessly goes after corrupt cops and costumed bad guys." As handles go, Orwell is a pretty good one to pull out.

Oh, and don't fret - THR also reports that Orwell won't have a problem handling thugs physically, and not just on THA INTERWEBZ.
